Training Obtained :
The department has already conducted training courses in the area of molecular genetics and is in the process of organizing another soon. This reflects its expertise and ability to train the graduate students not only in the methods in molecular biology but in human genetics also. Some of the associated Post-Doctoral/Ph. D. scholars, who are actively involved in the teaching and training programme at the Centre, have received training at various national institutes including CCMB, Hyderabad; AIIMS, New Delhi; NBFGR, Lucknow; FRIGE’s Institute of Human Genetics,  Ahmedabad; National JALMA Institute for Leprosy and Mycobacterial Diseases, Agra; Institute of Bioinformatics, Bangalore, in specialized techniques in molecular phylogenetics, structural and functional genomics, disease diagnosis and bioinformatics.
